2025 Ultimate Gift Gala for Mission Clubs Panama

A story about our Heart behind Mission Clubs Panama
Scripture: Matthew 28:19-20
Paul, Davis and I first visited Panama on a mission trip in 2016 through our local church. It was both the most beautiful country we've ever seen and the most difficult because it was filled with suffering people and extreme poverty but in the face of pain, we saw the opportunity to show LOVE.
Kids living in conditions that no one should have to live in.
They lacked basic resources like running water, electricity and a bed to sleep in. Many local families had to prioritize work over education to survive, which left many of the children little chance to be successful in the local school. Young girls thought of as property and young boys as farm helpers. Education was secondary. But God!
God put it on our heart to do more in Panama, leveraging the gifts that He has given us. So, after much prayer, wise council and several months research we opened the first international Boys & Girls club in Panama in 2017. The club started with 17 kids, in a shared space in the small town of Caizan. A few of us just simply following Jesus Christ and believing He was going to transform the community.
Since then, God has brought us a team of like-minded and dedicated board members that we couldn’t do this without. He has provided a staff in country of faith filled workers who love Jesus and love helping our kids be successful in education. He has brought us sponsors and supporters that keep things going all in the right direction. The growth to more than 200 kids daily and soon to be 2nd location has been nothing short of Gods divine provision as we continue to walk out His plan for this ministry.
As part of Mission Clubs, each student gets access to the following:
- Homework help
- Sports and athletics
- Robotics and STEM programs
- Computer lab and coding
- Art and Music
- English as a 2nd language
- A hot meal every day
- Help with school supplies, school uniforms as needed
- Youth church every Wednesday night
- Community events in partnership with local churches, offering medical clinics and screenings
- A safe place and a sense of belonging
Our mission is to meet the physical, educational and spiritual needs of this community, and empower and equip the next generation to change their families, community, city and country all in the name of Jesus.
